Exploring Dubai on a Budget: Free and Affordable Activities for Families
Dubai is a great city to live in with children.

It has everything from excellent kindergartens and schools to places for entertainment.

Let's talk about it in detail.

Here are some great places where you should definitely go with your family.
1
Wild Wadi Water Park
Located in the elite district of Dubai, Wild Wadi Water Park occupies an area of 48 thousand square meters and has a huge number of unique attractions for families in Dubai.

With the help of an artificial river 360 meters long, a mountain rain stream is recreated, and all the descents are connected by channels. The construction concept envisaged the idea of fairy-tale adventures of Sinbad the Sailor and is presented to tourists in the form of 30 slides with a total length of 1.7 km, a waterfall, and a man-made tropical downpour.

The most interesting and popular are the pool with artificial waves and two slides for surfers, including with a special instructor, as well as slides on inflatable boats and circles, extreme whirlpools, and children's play pools.

Wild Wadi has multiple cafes, restaurants, stores, and a recreation area.

Free admission is provided for children under 2 years old.

Kite Beach
Dubai with its perfect weather and many kilometers of sandy beaches is simply created for relaxation on the sea coast.

Residents and guests of the city like to spend time on the numerous free municipal beaches, in particular on Kite Beach.

Sun loungers are available for rent, and nearby cafes and food trucks provide a delicious snack without leaving the beach.

And if you're in the mood for water sports, there are kitesurf and other equipment rentals on the beach.

Al Sufouh
We also recommend Al Sufouh beach. It will be to the liking of children and people who can not swim well.

There is a shallow and long entrance to the sea, a wide beach, and a lot of fish that swim up to the shore.

On the beach there is a lifeguard tower, but there are no sun beds, umbrellas, toilets, cafes, and stores.

But the main disadvantage in the heat is the lack of saving shade from palm trees or other trees.

Keep this in mind and take an umbrella and drinking water with you.

IMG Worlds of Adventure Theme Park
IMG Worlds of Adventure Theme Park is a park of modern attractions for families in Dubai that is located on the territory of 140 thousand square meters near the exhibition center Global Village.

At the entrance to the park, children are welcomed by animators dressed as popular cartoon characters, and thanks to air conditioners the territory is always kept at a comfortable temperature.

The halls are equipped with stores, cafe and restaurant areas.
5
Legoland Theme Park
One of the seven theme parks on the planet is dedicated to the LEGO constructor game.

The territory is divided into two zones: Water Park and Legoland Dubai.

In addition to super modern attractions for families, visitors are presented with more than 15 thousand assembled models - books, animals, huge clowns, and mini-production of parts for the constructor.

Everything here is a prototype of LEGO models - Dubai skyscrapers, carousel, and slide constructions.

The park offers a children's driving school, 4D movie theater, play pools, comfortable sun beds, umbrellas and more than 40 water attractions for children from 2 years old.

The stores located on the territory offer original and diverse LEGO model sets, and cafes and themed restaurants delight visitors with delicious food.

Children under 3 years of age are admitted free of charge.

Motiongate Dubai Amusement Park
The largest amusement park in the region offers its visitors amusement zones, carousels, and slides decorated in accordance with the plots of famous animated films.

Guests can enjoy 27 rides of varying difficulty and walks through a stylized Western European city with an artificial canal.

For children there are playgrounds in Smurf Village, pools with water slides, a carousel ride on Shrek's travels and a swinging boat.

The most extreme attraction Zombieland Blast-off is made for adults and teenagers.

Park guests can visit a real movie studio and become real participants in filming on the Studio Central set.

Restaurants and children's cafes offer not only to order dishes on the menu but also to work on their preparation.
7
Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary in Dubai is a great place to visit with the family for a free escape to nature.

Here, the wetlands are replaced by a vibrant urban landscape.

The reserve is famous for its feathered inhabitants and is a favorite destination for nature lovers.

The shallow waters are home to beautiful pink flamingos, which provide a stunning contrast to the city skyline.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is the best place to visit in Dubai for free and is definitely the perfect place to explore Dubai's thriving natural ecosystem.
8
Dubai Mall
Go to Dubai Mall, see sharks and other fish through the huge glass there (it's free), and visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo for an additional fee.

There in the Mall to admire the chocolate tree and candies from all over the world in the confectionery store Candylicious.

And of course, watch the mesmerizing dance of the famous Dubai Fountain for free. Spectacular light and sound shows take place every evening at 30 minute intervals.

Throw snowballs at the Ski Dubai skiing complex. You can also go sledding, skiing and build ice forts there.
9
Museums
Go to a museum. For example, the Museum of the Future is the most amazing.

Dubai Museum is located in the oldest building in the city, the Al Fahidi Fortress.

Or the Museum of Illusions — by far the largest optical attraction you can imagine.
So many great places to go in Dubai! And these are just a few of them. Now you know exactly where to take your family next weekend.
